Support Programs and Scholarships at Wilderness Awareness School
I want to make a simple appeal – please support our Annual Fund Campaign!
As
our operating expenses and our requests for scholarship support increase,
so does our need for your help.
Our Annual Fund Campaign is our most important fundraising campaign of the year and your generous support is critical to our continued success and funding of our scholarship program.
Please
make a gift on-line now (or if you received our letter in the
mail, please send us a check in the envelope provided).
Then pour a big mug of tea, and relax by the fire knowing you have made
a huge difference to Wilderness Awareness School and our students.
Sincerely,

Why support Wilderness Awareness
School's Annual Fund Campaign?
We serve a large and expanding population of students:
- Wilderness Awareness School alone reaches over 2,000 youth and adults
with our programs each year.
When combined with our 138 affiliated schools throughout the world, our teachings reach tens of thousands of students each year.
- Already, our just-published Mentor’s Manual and Activities
Guide, Coyote’s
Guide to Connecting with Nature, has sold
over 2,000 copies.
Coyote’s Guide has the potential to revolutionize Nature Education and rapidly increase the development of affiliated schools and the number of youth and adults attending our programs.
Our curriculum is proven effective and our programs are highly acclaimed:
- As demonstrated by the positive reviews from students and parents:
“I leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and with a great sense of confidence.”
“Her respect and love for nature grows through your programs!”
- And, as demonstrated by the praise we are getting from leaders
in the field of Nature Education since the release of Coyote’s
Guide:
“The nature activities in Coyote’s Guide are fantastic…
This book has the power to change lives.”
–Joseph Cornell, internationally renowned educator and author of Sharing Nature with Children
“This is nature education as it should be – mysterious, timeless, hopeful, evocative, and playful.”
–David Sobel, author of Children and Nature: Design Principles for Educators“This is good medicine for nature-deficit disorder.”
–Richard Louv, author of the national bestseller Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder
Our requests for scholarships are growing:
- Last year we gave over $60,000 in scholarships. With the expansion of our programs, we expect to give over $70,000 in scholarships this year representing over 100 students!
Please give generously to our Annual Fund Campaign. Our staff and students, our parents and community, are depending on you.
